Wedding guests forced to live together on roof of venue during coronavirus lockdown

Around 55 people who were attending a wedding reception have been forced to live on a rooftop all together after the lockdown was announced.

The guests - including women, children and some toddlers who need to be breast-fed - arrived from several parts of Odisha, India to the Steel City on March 21.

With no place to go after the lockdown was extended, they have been forced to stay on the rooftop of the bridegroom's rented house in Jamshedpur, according to the Times of India.

A family member of the bridegroom, Sumit Kumar, said: "We are somehow arranging food for the guests, but with every passing day, it is becoming all the more economically unviable." He added that a local club had arranged a meal for the guests, but it was not enough to
