A community came together with the heartbroken family of a dad who has been left with life changing injuries following an attack in a park almost a month ago.
John Lowe, 58, was left with severe head injuries after being attacked in Salford's Clarendon Park on Valentine's Day with his hearbroken children saying he is no longer the same man they knew.
The father-of-three was assaulted around 10am when coming back from a community centre, family believe, and police are treating the incident as attempted murder.
His daughter, Lily Dee, and son Dave Lowe, were joined by dozens of shocked members of the local community today (March 12) as they put up posters and handed out leaflets pleading for anyone with information about their dad's attacker to go to police.
