Wayne Rooney has admitted he had a 'weird feeling' spending so much time with wife Coleen and their four sons when he was recently out of work.
The iconic former England captain, who turns 39 today (Thursday, October 24), is currently manager of Plymouth Argyle in the Championship.
But that followed five months out of work - his first break from football since breaking through as a teenager at Everton. Speaking to The Overlap about his time without a job, he said: "I don't get down over it, because it's life.
I've had the opportunity at the moment to do a lot more with my children, seeing the kids play, taking them to training, stuff like that. "But yeah it is very strange, especially on a weekend, you're like 'what is going on'.
