Wayne, 62, who is the older brother of ex-footballer Gary Lineker, was seen arguing with a group of men, who appeared to have been harassing his female friend.The incident took place in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday, 12 June, outside Eden Bar in San Antonio.
The dad-of-four was knocked unconscious by one of the men following a tense interaction. It allegedly took him around five minutes to regain consciousness.
The incident led bystanders to fear Wayne had died on the pavement. A witness spoke to The Sun, saying it was "horrible" to see and the men "ran off" after attacking Wayne.
