A 'wave of high pressure' is set to sweep across the UK this week, with the country set to sizzle in a heatwave with soaring temperatures.
According to the Met Office, the next few days are set to be warm, with the mercury reaching a high of at least 25C on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The warm surge is down to a wave of high pressure across the country and warm air rising from the south, creating dry, fine and sunny conditions and bringing temperatures up.
