Love Island: All Stars wasted no time in throwing exes Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole in the deep end on Monday night's opening instalment.
Co-stars of the seventh summer series in 2021, the pair's relationship was a strange one, as Liberty seemed head over heels for Jake, but he noticeably took his sweet time in saying the 'L' word back to her.
Just before the final they went their separate ways, but now, three years later, All Stars producers made sure they were two of the first four contestants to enter the villa. "What are the chances of this?" laughed Jake as they embraced, with Chris Taylor cheekily adding: "Well this is a fantastic start init!" Hannah Elizabeth pointed out: "Well at least you've got this like out of the way on the first day!" "I'm looking forward to this one this year. There was never really any like, bad blood, or falling out [between us]," said Jake, as Liberty honestly added: "Obviously it's a bit awkward because, like, I haven't seen you in like three years.
We're not gonna c**k-block each other, it's all good vibes." Unsurprisingly, the former partners' awkward exchange was the talk of social media platform X. "LIB'S FACE WHEN SHE SAW JAKE I CANNOT", "Production is messy to bring Jake right after Lib", "Oh my god they've done Lib so dirty putting Jake in there" and "That is so awkward for Jake and Lib," read four messages on there.
