My Chemical Romance have performed ‘The Black Parade’ in its entirety for the first time since 2007 – see fan-shot footage below.On Saturday (October 19), My Chemical Romance headlined the When We Were Young festival, where they performed their seminal 2006 record in full from front to back live for the first time in 17 years.They performed the record in order, kicking off with ‘The End’ and ‘Dead!’, both being played live for the first time since 2007 and 2011 respectively.

Later on, they performed ‘The Sharpest Lives’ for the first time since 2008 and ‘Disenchanted’ for the first time since 2007.Singer-songwriter Kayleigh Goldsworthy joined the band for ‘Cancer’ and ‘Mama’.

Both songs included a new violin arrangement.Songs like ‘I Don’t Love You’ and ‘Famous Last Words’ received new intros as well.Once done with their play-through of ‘The Black Parade’, My Chemical Romance treated those in attendance to two encore songs: ‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’ and ‘Helena’.‘The End.’‘Dead!’‘This Is How I Disappear’‘Welcome To The Black Parade’‘I Don’t Love You’‘House Of Wolves’‘Cancer’‘Mama’‘Sleep’‘Teenagers’‘Disenchanted’‘Famous Last Words’‘I’m Not Okay (I Promise)’‘Helena’Elsewhere, My Chemical Romance quashed hopes of a reunion album earlier this year after a series of strange posts emerged on their Facebook.

Scepticism grew when the band proceeded to post a number of bizarre posts, leading fans to question if there was a legitimate reunion on the horizon or if they were hacked.Writing on Instagram, they said: “Our Facebook got hacked,” warning fans: “Don’t believe everything you read!”The emo icons wrapped up their lengthy reunion tour in March last year.
