Lady Gaga gave eye-catching performances of two tracks from her new album ‘Mayhem’ on Saturday Night Live last night – watch below.The singer was pulling double duty on March 8, hosting the show as well as serving as the musical guest, and with it coming just a day after the release of her seventh record, she took the chance to show off two of its songs.The first was the single ‘Abracadabra’, which saw Gaga transfixed in a mutant dance number from inside a claustrophobic neon structure, surrounded by angular support dancers.
Watch here:The second was the funk rock-inspired ‘Killah’, which she began in the backstage corridors of the famous Studio 8H, before taking the stage with a full live band.
The track, reminiscent of ‘Young Americans’-era David Bowie, saw Gaga thrashing along at the drumkit before letting out a guttural rock howl at the climax.
See that performance here:It was Gaga’s fifth time performing on the long-running sketch show and her second stint as host, and it comes just weeks after she also appeared on its 50th anniversary celebrations.
