Karen Koster is embarking on a whole new decade and her Ireland AM co-stars couldn’t let the occasion slip by without a birthday tribute.

The mum-of-three is about to turn the big Four-Oh but won’t be on-air again before her birthday, so Tommy Bowe and the rest of the team pulled out all the stops to make it a special broadcast.

Tommy uploaded a picture of their makeshift party to his Instagram account and wished her well commenting: ‘What a send-off to Karen’s 30s’ and added a ‘happy birthday.’ A post shared by Ireland AM (@irelandamvmtv) The ‘send-off’ included a very fancy and tasty-looking cake which was decorated with roses, macaroons, and even a unicorn.
