Lorraine Kelly was hilariously corrected by an 8-year-old on the tenth STV Children’s Appeal fundraiser after she got his age wrong.
On the show, which airs this Friday, Lorraine chats to 8-year-old Shaun Maclean from Inverness, who is one of the “community heroes”.In the summer, Shaun was inspired by the fundraising efforts of Captain Sir Tom Moore and decided that he wanted to raise money for Scottish children who aren’t as fortunate as himself.He challenged himself to run 200 lengths of his garden during lockdown and completed it within 6 days – raising £966 for the STV Children’s Appeal in the process.In a heartwarming video call recorded with Shaun from her London home, Lorraine – who was recently made a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday.
