The Foreign Office has issued advice for British holidaymakers travelling to Turkey - after a number of deaths from illegally produced alcohol.

At least 17 people are believed to have died in Istanbul, the country's largest city, after consuming bootleg alcohol. Turkey is visited by hundreds of thousands of British tourists every year, with flights to the country from airports across the country, including Manchester.

People visiting the country, which boasts popular destinations including Izmir and Antalya, have also been told to make sure bottle seals are intact before drinking from them.
