A walker who went missing on the top of Scafell Pike has tragically been found dead, search teams said. The man became separated from his group at the top of England's highest mountain at around 9.30pm on Saturday evening (October 8).
The conditions on the peak were 'very windy, cold and misty', the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team said. A huge search operation was launched with mountain rescue workers, the RAF and search dogs all deployed.
