Walker dies after falling from mountain at Snowdonia national park

A walker has died after falling from a mountain in North Wales. Emergency services were called out to Tryfan in Eryri national park, formerly known as Snowdonia, last Friday evening (June 7).

A person had been seen falling from the south ridge of a mountain. A major response was dispatched to the scene, including representatives from the Armed Forces.

Tragically, the person involved died following the incident, North Wales Live reports. In a statement, an Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (OVMRO) spokesperson said: "The team were called out on Friday evening after a walker witnessed someone falling from the south ridge.
