A waiter has revealed a common customer habit that, while well-intentioned, actually makes his job more difficult. Many diners attempt to assist restaurant staff by stacking their dishes or passing them over for collection, but one particular practice is causing frustration.

A restaurant worker took to TikTok to vent about customers who dispose of their rubbish inside their cups, which can create additional work for those clearing the tables.

He explained how the debris can adhere to the cup's sides, making it more challenging to discard than if left on the plate. The waiter went on to explain how difficult it can make their jobs.
