Viola Davis Honors 'The Help' Co-Star Octavia Spencer for Her Advocacy Work at City Year Event

The Oscar-winning actresses worked together in The Help and Viola was on hand to honor Octavia at City Year Los Angeles’ Spring Break: Destination Education Event on Saturday (May 6) at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif. Octavia and Los Angeles Rams COO Kevin Demoff, who are both City Year LA board members, were honored at the event. Octavia received her honor for “advocacy and commitment to the thousands of children across Los Angeles public schools who benefit directly from having a City Year mentor.” Other celebs in attendance at the event included Tiffany Haddish, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Chloe Bailey, who gave a special musical performance. “What a night!
