The Gina Prince-Bythewood-directed movie is set in the 1800s and tells the story of a group of all-female warriors who aim to protect the African kingdom of Dahomey with skills and fierceness unlike anything the world has ever seen.

Celebrating The Woman King’s release on October 4, Emmy-winning actress Viola was joined by her husband of 19 years, Julius Tennon.
