A woman faces a maximum of 700 years in prison, after she was convicted or rape, sodomy and torture of two girls. Lisa Marie Lesher was convicted by a jury of nine charges involving the sexual abuse of the girls.
Her husband, Michael Lesher was sentenced to 438 years behind bars earlier this year, for his part in the sexual attacks, with the prosecutor Scott Anderson saying: "We’re going to make sure he never breathes free air again." The trial into Mrs Lesher's crimes heard evidence she sexually abused two girls for several years in Falkville, Alabama in the USA.
The case was first reported in 2007 and the reason for delay in prosecuting is unclear. District Attorney Mr Anderson reopened the case at the request of the victims soon after
