In a press briefing, United States Attorney Martin Estrada announced that five individuals have been charged regarding the accidental ketamine overdose that led to actor Matthew Perry's death last October.The star from Friends, who was just 54, was discovered deceased in his hot tub at his California residence in October 2023.The L.A.
County Medical Examiner's Office concluded that Perry died due to the powerful effects of ketamine intoxication.These charges follow an announcement by the LAPD in May where they mentioned collaborating with the DEA on probing into the events surrounding Perry's demise.
The personnel involved includes Perry's personal assistant, two doctors, and several others one being dubbed "the ketamine Queen" who stand accused of supplying the ketamine which resulted in the actor's fatality, reports the Mirror.
Government prosecutors allege that Perry's aide and an associate engaged with two medical professionals and a drug supplier to acquire large sums worth of ketamine for the celebrity.
