Naman Ramachandran Vietnamese feature “A Fragile Flower” is heading to Indian theaters following its showcase at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
The film, directed by Mai Thu Huyen (“Kieu”), screens at IFFI with Huyen and executive producer Jacqueline Nguyen in attendance. “A Fragile Flower,” notable as the first Vietnamese feature produced entirely in the U.S., follows Thach Thao who possesses not only a captivating voice but also a beauty which enchants all who hear her sing.
Thao’s life takes a dramatic turn when she captivates music producer Son with her first performance. Under the mentorship of renowned singer Le Khanh, Thao hones her skills and explodes onto the scene with the song’s release. “A Fragile Flower” is Thao’s story about how she navigates love and fame, faces a life-threatening illness and tests her newfound strength and resolve.
The cast includes Maya, Quoc Cuong, Mai Thu Huyen, Baggio Saetii, Duc Tien, Anh Dung, Trizze Phuong Trinh and Nhat Ha, who also wrote the screenplay.
