Video footage captures horror moment car flips onto roof on busy Scots motorway

Video footage has captured the terrifying moment a car flipped onto its roof following a crash on a Scots motorway.Emergency services rushed to M90 southbound, near Crossgates in Fife, at around 1.50pm on Sunday to reports of a crash between junctions two and three.The 65-year-old male driver of the car was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy as a precaution.Terrifying footage has now emerged of the incident, with a dash-cam camera capturing the moment the vehicle tumbled onto its roof.The clip, recorded from the opposite carriageway, shows the car rolling over and landing on its roof as motorists pull to the side of the road and run to the scene to assist the driver.Vehicles on the opposite carriageway can also be seen pulling onto the hard-shoulder following the incident.Photographs taken at the scene show the grey car upside down with the passenger door cracked open following the smash on the busy motorway.Emergency services rushed to the scene and quickly closed the road as the man was taken to hospital by ambulance.The road later reopened around 3.15pm.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.50pm on Sunday, April 23, we were called to a report of a single vehicle crash on the M90 southbound between junctions two and three."The 65-year-old male driver of the car was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy as a precaution.
