‘Victorious’ Trina Vega Spinoff ‘Hollywood Arts’ Starring Daniella Monet in Development at Nickelodeon
variety.comEthan Shanfeld “Victorious” has another spinoff in the works, with Daniella Monet set to reprise her role as Trina Vega in a multi-cam Nickelodeon comedy with the working title “Hollywood Arts,” Variety has confirmed.
The series, which is in development and has not yet been greenlit, will follow Trina as she returns to her old stomping grounds to teach students at the fictional Los Angeles performing arts high school.
It would mark the second spinoff of “Victorious,” following “Sam & Cat,” starring Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande. Monet, who starred in all four seasons of “Victorious” as the older sister to Victoria Justice’s Tori Vega, will executive produce the spinoff alongside Jake Farrow (who was a writer-producer on “Victorious” and “Sam & Cat”) and Samantha Martin.
Dan Schneider, the disgraced creator of “Victorious” who parted ways with Nickelodeon in 2018 and was accused of misconduct in the ID docuseries “Quiet on Set,” has no involvement in the “Hollywood Arts” spinoff.
