Last summer, hundreds of people gathered at a pub in Hale Barns to admire a varied selection of classic cars. But beyond it being the perfect family day out for many, there was a special reason for the event taking place.
Featuring vehicle replicas of the cars used in films and TV shows like The A Team and Jurassic Park, Rob’s Car Show was held in memory of Rob Christie, who served in the Armed Forces for more than 20 years and loved attending car shows.
Rob passed away last March from cancer at the age of 55 and his brother, Marcus, was the one who decided to host the event in his honour.
Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, the event will be held again next summer at Hale Barns Carnival - and Marcus hopes it will be an even bigger tribute to his brother.
