BBC Radio 2's Vernon Kay has let listeners into his home life, revealing that when he's feeling under the weather, his wife Tess Daly and their lovely daughters make him feel like royalty. "I've got to say that when I am poorly, they treat me like a King my girls, they really do," he gushed on Tuesday. The 50 year old telly star, who has charmed us with snippets of his home life since hopping on board at BBC Radio 2 last year, shared how he's still getting told off by his family for not always nursing them back to health in return.

Vernon admitted with a laugh: "Sometimes I get shouted at because it's not reciprocated, I think is the right word." True to form, Vernon expressed his routine apologies for the one-way caretaking with a cheery: "You know, I apologise on a regular basis, so yeah, there you go, they really do look after me." Vernon hasn't shied away from letting us in on the little rituals at home either.

He was playfully dubbed "a lucky man" by fellow presenter Zoe Ball after relaying mornings in the Kay household, saying: "I have Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly roll over and go, 'It's time to get up', with a dig of the elbow, 'Come on, get up,'" reports the Express.

Zoe was quick to retort: "Oh, you're a lucky man! Living the dream Vernon Kay, honestly." Love definitely seems to be standing the test of time, as Vernon and Tess celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last year, after tying the knot in Horwich in 2003.
