The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department first broke the news of the crime, revealing that 53-year-old Moises Sanchez had been arrested over the weekend and charged with the first-degree murder of his wife Veronica Cortes-Rosales.
A horrifying set of circumstances on their own, but when you get down into the details, everything just gets sicker… A probable cause affidavit was obtained by Law&Crime, the suspect confessed to law enforcement that he thought his wife was having an affair because she was “not affectionate with him anymore” so he became paranoid about their relationship — going as far as to stalk her at work and use a friend’s car so she wouldn’t recognize him.
He even lied about a broken down car to try and get her to come help him. They’d already been having some trouble within their marriage and “would not have sex,” but they agreed to stay “friends” for the sake of their kiddos.
