William Earl On Nov. 14, Variety will host “U.S. Filmmaking in France: The French Experience,” a half-day event in Los Angeles in partnership with the French Film Commission to showcase the benefits and incentives of producing films / TV shows in France.
The invite-only event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features a series of conversations with directors, producers and executives who have recently filmed in France. Programming includes: The Making of “Emily in Paris“ Understanding the French Tax Rebate for International Productions The Making of “The Veil“ Mac Guff’s Face Engine Demo The Making of “The Nun II” Choosing France for Your VFX TSF’S New Studios and Streets of Paris Backlot In addition to the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with French professionals working on international productions.
Attending studios, VFX studios, production service companies and commissioners include: Provence Studios, Studios de la Montjoie, TSF, V Studios, Atlas V, The Yard, Mac Guff, Firstep, Froggie Production, Peninsula, Gaumont Production Services, and Film France – CNC.
Air France will offer two roundtrip business class tickets to Paris to one of the attendees, to celebrate the company’s 90th anniversary.
