USPS will feature new postage stamps dedicated to Betty White, set to be released for usage in 2025. In a press release dated Friday, the government agency provided a sneak peek at some of the stamps going into circulation next year, which include everything from revered pop icons to tributes for history and natural beauty.
White’s stamp, a preliminary design of which can be viewed here, is a Dale Stephanos-created digital illustration based upon a 2010 photograph by Kwaku Alston.
Greg Breeding, a USPS art director, designed the stamp. “An icon of American television, Betty White (1922–2021) shared her wit and warmth with viewers for seven decades — including roles on The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
The comedic actor, who gained younger generations of fans as she entered her 90s, was also revered as a compassionate advocate for animals,” read a description of the stamp.
