A North Face hoodie for teenagers is being urgently recalled due to a "risk of strangulation". If you have picked up this product for yourself or a loved one you should not wear it and should return it straight away for a full refund.
The hoodie drawstrings were found to not meet the requirements General Product Safety Regulations 2005, prompting the recall.
Product safety officials have put out a "serious" risk level warning as the lifestyle and hobbies of children and teenagers could cause the strings to become trapped, which could then lead to strangulation.
A notice put out by the Office for Product Safety and Standards reads: "The product presents a serious risk of strangulation as there are drawstrings with free ends in the hood of the product. "Drawstrings can become trapped during various activities of a child, leading to potential strangulation.
