Urgent Bonfire Night warning issued after dangerous illegal fireworks confiscated from street sellers

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) has issued images of some of the seized fireworks, labelled with the name Dum Bum, so the public can be wary.

And they are asking people wo may decide to purchase fireworks for use at home to ensure they buy them from a reputable seller and ensure they have the CE safety mark.No organised fireworks displays are being held this year due to Covid-19 restrictions, with the country set to move into a new national lockdown at one minute past midnight in the early hours of Thursday, which is Bonfire Night.The fire service is also asking people not to have fireworks at home to minimise the risk of incidents.Assistant Chief Fire Officer, Leon Parkes, said: “GMFRS staff have done an exceptional job.
