Law & Order news is about to change all that as Detective Elliot Stabler is coming back in 2020! A post shared by Mariska Hargitay (@therealmariskahargitay) on It was revealed earlier in the year that Christopher Meloni would be reprising his much-loved role of overly-invested Special Victims Unit detective, Elliot Stabler, in a new spin-off focused on New York organised crime.

The show will revolve around Stabler as the new head of the NYPD Organised Crime Unit. Although the definitive start date for the new series has not been released, the makers of the show have added it to their Fall line-up, which means it's set to be on a Thursday in just a few weeks.
