Universal Studios Theme Parks to Launch 'Wicked' Immersive Experiences Ahead of Film's Release

Wicked is coming to Universal Studios theme parks this fall! The upcoming movie musical doesn’t hit theaters until November, but fans will be able to walk down the yellow brick road at Universal Studios Hollywood in California and Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. Keep reading to find out more… Differing at each theme park, the Wicked immersive experiences will capture the spirit of Wicked, and will feature exclusive merch inspired by the movie.

Opening in late October, Wicked: The Experience will be at Universal Orlando Resort in the former location of the UNIVRS store.

The experience will “whisk guests along the yellow brick road and into a variety of iconic Wicked locations from Shiz University to the Emerald City.” There will be costumes and props on display as guests are “immersed in spectacular scenic and theming that will recreate some of the most memorable moments of the film.” At Universal Studios Hollywood, also opening in late October, they will transform the Feature Presentation store in the park and the UNIVRS store at Universal CityWalk into two Wicked experiences.

At Feature Presentation, there will be props from the film on display, with a photo op in the theme park and in tandem with the film’s release, costumes will be on display at the Universal Cinema at CityWalk.
