An undertaker deliberately drowned his wife's pet dog after the tiny animal nipped him when he tried to kiss it. Graham Richardson, 63, led miniature Yorkshire Terrier Wilma to the garden in the dead of night, where he heartlessly submerged her in a pond until she died.
The next morning, his distraught wife launched a frantic search for the missing pet, only to be met with Richardson's chilling admission: "I've killed her.
Dog bites, dog dies". As the truth began to unravel, the wife made the horrific discovery of Wilma's drenched body, covered in algae, inside a plastic bag outside their home.
This gruesome find prompted a call to the police, and Richardson was subsequently charged with causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
