Ulrika Jonsson has slammed Maisie Smith and Max George following their fake pregnancy announcement. Earlier this week, former EastEnders star Maisie, 21, posted a picture on social media while on holiday in Dubai of her cradling a somewhat swollen belly with a huge heart emoji across it.
Next to her, Max, 24, was seen looking shocked, with his hand over his mouth. Captioning the snap, Maisie wrote: "We've got some really exciting news..." However in the next post, she revealed the couple were only joking, writing: "I just had the best five course meal of my life." A lot of fans hit out at the couple for pulling a prank like this as many people struggle to conceive.
Ulrika, 55, is one of those not happy with the pair and branded them "publicity-hungry." Writing in her column for the Sun, Ulrika said: "For all those die-hard fans who hang on every word and loved-up picture the couple post.
It must have felt like an insult and a betrayal. "What really got my goat was the fact that, once again, this publicity-hungry couple did it all for attention. "This was all about creating a stir, getting noticed and making sure they kept their names in the news." The couple's post was met with a divided response on social media.
