UK to enjoy '24-hour mini-heatwave' from this exact date

A 'mini-heatwave' is on the way, according to reports, with temperatures set to soar past the 20C. Weather maps have taken on a vibrant orange hue, indicating a warm spell, according to one forecaster.

"There should be a reasonable amount of dry weather around, especially in the north and west, but some rain or showers are likely at times, most-likely in the south and east, but amounts are expected to be modest." BBC Weather forecasts period of uncertainty for the upcoming week, from April 22 to April 28, suggesting: "The next week remains uncertain but there are some signs that high pressure to the west or north of the UK is holding, which could lead to calmer and drier weather, particularly in the north and west.
