UK Government has updated its guidance for people who are employed and cannot work due to coronavirus. The update states that your employer can now put you on furlough if you are shielding or have caring responsibilities because of Covid-19.

Guidance on the GOV.UK website states that you should tell your employer if you have coronavirus symptoms or are self-isolating and where possible, work from home if you are well enough to do so.

If you cannot work from home, you may be able to get the £500 Self-Isolation Support Grant, which the Scottish Government said is being significantly extended to include more people on low incomes.
