UK coronavirus deaths rise by 406 in smallest daily total since December

mirror.co.ukA further 406 coronavirus deaths have been recorded in the UK with infections also coming down. It is the lowest daily rise since December 28 and is a drop on last Monday when 592 fatalities and 22,195 new cases were announced.
A total 18,607 Covid-19 new cases were recorded today - down by 3,588 on last Monday and the lowest since December 15. Daily death tolls have tended to be lower on Mondays, due to a reporting lag following weekends.
The UK's official overall total now stands at 106,564. And cases recorded are 3,835,783. Yesterday coronavirus claimed the lives of 622 more patients in the UK, with 787 dying the day before that.
