UK coronavirus daily death toll drop to 205 as infections continue downward trend

The coronavirus death toll in the UK has risen by 205 with 12,330 more cases recorded. A week ago, the number of cases increased by 15,450, which shows there has been a downward trend since last Monday.

The death toll last Monday, November 23, had increased by 206. This afternoon's official government figures bring the total number of cases to 1,629,657 and the total death toll is now 58,448.

Today the UK's coronavirus hospital death toll has increased by 199 amid a study that found infections have dropped by almost a third in England during the lockdown.

England reported 183 fatalities, Northern Ireland had 10 and Scotland and Wales both recorded three to bring the UK hospital total to 47,399.
