The UK is bracing for a 431-mile snow bomb, with freezing weather conditions set to continue for a few more days. WXCharts' latest weather maps have turned white, indicating the possibility of snow from Wick in Scotland to Manchester on November 23.
This aligns with the Met Office's weekend forecast, which has issued a yellow warning for ice and snow that could pose a "danger to life".
The warning will be in place from 4am on Saturday until 9am on Sunday, with potential life-threatening flooding. The latest weather maps suggest no let-up, predicting around 15cm of snow accumulation in the Scottish highlands, while areas like Newcastle and Manchester could see 5-7cm of snowfall per hour.
Mike Silverstone, Deputy Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office, said: "Winter hazards will gradually diminish through the weekend, though they will hold on longest in northern Scotland.
