Two women killed in horror M6 bus crash
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA second woman has tragically passed away after a collision involving a car and a bus at an M6 junction. The crash, which involved a Hyundai and a bus, occurred on Thursday, September 19, on the A684 at Junction 37 for the motorway near Kendal, Cumbria.
Lancs Live reported that the driver of the Hyundai, Rita Thomas, aged 85, from Thornton-Cleveleys, died from her injuries in hospital on Friday.
Cumbria Police have now sadly confirmed that the passenger, Christine Dale, 77, also from Thornton-Cleveleys, died in hospital on Sunday.
The bus driver was unharmed. Authorities are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson for the police force stated: "The passenger of a car involved in a collision on the A684 at Junction 37 on Thursday 19 September has died.
