A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and 'drug offences' after a crash in Bolton. Police confirmed that a Mercedes smashed into an Audi on Chorley New Road after it had previously failed to stop for traffic officers.
One woman inside the Audi was taken to hospital, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said. Another woman was also injured and treated by paramedics at the scene.
The incident took place at around 8.10pm yesterday evening (April 22). GMP, the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) and firefighters all attended. Photographs shared on social media also show a car on its roof. A GMP spokesman said: "Officers on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic offence at about 8:10pm on Chorley New Road, Horwich, last night (22 April 2022).
