A murder inquiry has been launched into the death of a newborn baby girl, after officers were called to a hospital when medics raised concerns.
Police were called at around 6.30pm on Friday, January 8 and the two-week-old child died three days later on Monday, January 11.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries. An investigation is ongoing and a scene is expected to remain in place at an address in Heywood, Greater Manchester for the coming days.
