Two Premier League footballers arrested over rape allegation
dailyrecord.co.ukTwo Premier League footballers have been arrested in relation to an allegation of rape.The 19-year-olds were probed by police at the weekend after a report of a rape was made on Friday, April 19.Both men have been bailed as police inquiries continue.According to The Sun, police attended their club's stadium, where one of the men was spoken to before he was arrested later, spending the night in the cells.The other player was not at the ground and was arrested the following day, the paper reported.
The players and the club cannot be identified for legal reasons.A police force confirmed that two men had been arrested following a report of a rape.It said: "A 19-year-old man was arrested on Saturday (April 20) on suspicion of assault and aiding and abetting a rape.
