Mr Kipling cakes and Lloyd Grossman sauces are among the branded products set to see price cuts in the coming weeks. Food producer Premier Foods, the company behind brands including OXO, Ambrosia and Sharwoods, has pledged to reduce prices across more ranges as it passes on lower costs.
In a trading update this morning, chief executive Alex Whitehouse confirmed the group will extend price cuts to ranges such as Loyd Grossman cooking sauces and Mr Kipling Bakewell slices over its fourth quarter to the end of March. just click here to give it a go. Towards the end of last year, the firm began lowering prices on other major branded products including Batchelors Super Noodles and some Mr Kipling slices thanks to falling cost inflation.
Premier said this helped boost its performance in the last quarter, with group sales up 14.4 per cent in the three months to December 30.
