Two people have been rushed to hospital following a car crash on road in Fife which saw one vehicle completely crushed and another seriously damaged.
Emergency crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, sped to Standing Stane Road in Kirkcaldy following the incident which took place around 4pm on Sunday, July 31.
Photos taken at the scene, which were shared on social media, show one motor completely macerated as a result of the collision, with its roof caved in and its front windscreen smashed to smithereens. There is a gaping hole in the window directly in front of the passenger seat, the door on the driver's side has been flung wide open and the bumper appears to have suffered significant impact, too.Another image shows a blue Nissan with its rear tail light damaged and its wheel bent.
It appears to have veered into a grassy verge. The road was partially blocked while officers carried out enquiries and reopened just under two hours later.
