Two people attacked and woman hit by car at site of fire-ravaged Crooked House pub

Two people were attacked and a woman was hit by a car at the site of the iconic Crooked House pub. Police have launched a probe after the incident happened near the remains of the fire-hit boozer on Himley Road in Dudley, near Birmingham, at around 8.30pm on Saturday.

A man and woman were allegedly attacked by a group before they both got in a car and tried to drive away. However, after they were obstructed, the car then hit a female pedestrian.

She was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been discharged. The car left the scene but the people inside later contacted police to report the incident.

Officers are now appealing for information. The Crooked House pub, which was known as the UK's wonkiest pub because of its iconic slanted shape, went up in flames last month.A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We’re investigating reports of disorder at the Crooked House on Saturday evening.
