Two men have been handed life sentences with a minimum term of 32 years for the murder of 19-year-old Nyle Corrigan. Martin Wilson, 37, and Connor Smith, 26, were found guilty of the fatal shooting that took place on November 12, 2020.
Nyle Corrigan was ambushed and shot in the back by the duo, who arrived outside his home on foot wearing masks and armed with a Glock self-loading pistol at around 6.30pm.
He died at the scene approximately 50 minutes later. In addition to murder, Wilson and Smith were convicted of conspiracy to possess a 9mm Glock self-loading pistol with intent to endanger life, receiving concurrent 18-year sentences for the firearms offence.
Meanwhile, Jamie Coggins, aged 28, was acquitted of murder but found guilty of assisting an offender by the same jury earlier this week and was sentenced to four years.
