Two men fled the scene of a stolen car crash in Whitefield. Emergency services were called to the one-car smash on Bury New Road at around 4.20am this morning (Wednesday).
Before they arrived, two men had ran away from the scene, a spokesperson for GMP said. Police believe the car involved had been stolen from Longworth Street in Manchester city centre earlier in the morning. One eyewitness told the M.E.N that the car had crashed through a barrier and fallen down an embankment. A picture taken this morning showed one police car and one fire engine at the scene.
