Two men in serious condition after BMW smashes into building in police chase

Two men are in hospital in a serious condition after a BMW smashed into a building during a police chase. Greater Manchester Police said the BMW failed to stop for officers on Rochdale Road East in Heywood at around 11.45pm last night.

Police then pursed the car for a short time before it crashed on the same road. Two men - aged 18 and 27 - were treated at the scene by officers and paramedics.

Any witnesses are being urged to come forward. The Manchester Evening News understands the BMW smashed into the shutters outside the Fleet Grafix store.
