The Royal Family has already had a shake-up in their titles and roles following the passing of the late Queen in 2022 and the accession of King Charles.Title updates and changes in regimental responsibilities spell major adjustments in the new reign, with King Charles officially being crowned on 6 May 2023.
One of the biggest shifts involved Queen Camilla and the Princess of Wales, as they've had significant changes in their ceremonial military positions.
Both were handed their very own Colonelcies by The King - Camilla has taken up the mantle of the Colonel of the Grenadier Guards and Kate stepped into Prince William's shoes as Colonel of the Irish Guards.This year's Trooping the Colour parade will take place on Saturday, 15 June, with Queen Camilla and Kate continuing their roles as Colonels of two out of the six regiments of the Foot Guards, however, it is not yet known if Kate will make an appearance at the event following her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
On Saturday, 8 June, Kate, 42, broke her silence on missing the Colonel's Review rehearsal for the Trooping the Colour, which took place that day, in a heartfelt letter.
