Two people have been injured after a fire engine on its way to an emergency crashed with a car on a busy Scots road. The collision occurred at the junction of Victoria Road and Dunnikier Road in Kirkcaldy at around 2.28pm on Thursday, November 25.
The crew had been making their way to an incident following reports of smoke rising from a vacant building on Fair Isle Road in the Fife town.An alternative fire engine was sent to Fair Isle Road where the blaze was extinguished by a different group of firefighters.
Meanwhile, other members of the emergency services attended the scene of the crash. Two people were transferred into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
