Sign up to the MySalford newsletter to keep up with what's happening in and around the city A two-car crash on the M60 caused an afternoon of misery along the motorway in Salford.

The crash took place on the anticlockwise carriageway between junction 11 at Barton and junction 10 for the Trafford Centre at around 1.40pm this afternoon (September 4).

Two lanes of traffic were initially closed on the carriageway, before one lane reopened after around 15 minutes. READ MORE: The woman who has had a cough for 30 years after catching a cold at a City match But despite traffic being able to pass the collision, drivers faced long delays backing up to junction 15 for the M61, near Walkden and Swinton.
